I am interested in learning more about the cohomology of Shimura varieties and p-adic geometry. Before coming to the LSGNT, I did my undergraduate at CUHK in Hong Kong. Back then, I was mostly trying to learn about classical modular forms and automorphic representations of GL(2). I used to be very afraid of geometry, but I’ve come to realize that it is an extremely powerful and robust way to think about number theory. Outside of maths, I really enjoy going camping in the mountains and playing Smash Ultimate with my friends.

I am broadly interested in number theory, particularly in how ideas from different areas of mathematics interact within it. My research interests include algebraic number theory (especially the study of rational points on algebraic varieties through arithmetic geometry) as well as analytic number theory (focusing on multiplicative number theory and applications of harmonic analysis). Before joining the LSGNT, I completed both my Bachelor's and Master's degrees at the University of Warsaw. Outside of maths, I enjoy football, playing the guitar, and reading.

My main mathematical interests are in analytic number theory, particularly the relationship between arithmetic and complex analysis. I am an LSGNT-aligned PhD student at UCL under the supervision of Professor Yiannis Petridis. I have previously read for degrees at Trinity College, Cambridge, Birkbeck, University of London and King's College London. During the latter I wrote a project on the distribution of the prime numbers in short intervals. Beyond mathematics, I have interests in history and philosophy and I am learning to play chess and speak Russian.

My main interests currently lie in Algebraic Geometry and Representation Theory, particularly in the interplay between the two. I enjoy seeing how geometric problems can be solved algebraically, and how algebraic concepts can be visualized geometrically. Before joining the LSGNT, I completed my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees at the University of Bologna. Besides mathematics, I love cooking, trying new foods, reading, and exploring nature.

I am interested in algebraic geometry, mainly birational geometry of varieties and foliations. Before starting my PhD at King’s with Calum Spicer, I did my undergraduate studies at Beijing Institute of Technology (my thesis was on the equivariant geometry of toric varieties) and my master’s at Nankai University, where I focused on Lie theory. Outside maths, I play a lot of video games and sports. I’m good at badminton and I enjoy playing tennis.

I’m interested in applying algebraic geometry, algebraic statistics, and theory from other areas of math like logic, complexity, and information theory, to understand structures of thought and how information can be encoded. I care about the security implications of this work. Before starting my PhD, I worked as an AI security researcher at Microsoft, where I also spent time as a threat hunter for advanced persistent threats and security vulnerabilities across the infrastructure running Azure and M365. Outside of maths, I enjoy poker, studying languages and philosophy, and training as a freediver.

I am a number theorist with broad interests in the Langlands program, elliptic curves, and the Birch–Swinnerton-Dyer conjecture. Before joining the LSGNT, I completed both my Bachelor's and Master's degrees at ETH Zurich. Outside mathematics, I enjoy hiking, skiing, and listening to classical music.

My main research interests are in algebraic geometry and geometric representation theory. My Master's thesis at UCL used representations of reductive groups to study zero divisors in the Grothendieck ring of varieties. I find these kinds of interplay between the fields fascinating and can't wait to explore more. Outside of maths, I'm a big fan of football and tennis.

I am broadly interested in geometry and topology and look forward to exploring areas within them. I did my master's at Durham University where I completed a project on the use of vertex operator algebras in the Monstrous Moonshine Conjecture, and then worked in industry before joining the LSGNT. Outside of maths I enjoy playing football, running, hiking in the countryside, and watching films.

I am a PhD student working under the supervision of David Burns. I did my undergraduate and master’s at the University of Oxford. My main interests are in algebraic number theory. My hobbies include cooking and going on hikes.

I'm broadly interested in algebraic geometry and representation theory, and I anticipate exploring more about birational geometry and geometric representation theory during my time at the LSGNT. Prior to joining the LSGNT, I completed my undergraduate study at King's College London and master's study at University of Cambridge, where I wrote an essay with title 'Group Schemes and Representations'. Besides maths, I enjoy cycling and playing football. Under my friends' influence, I also plan to develop skills in badminton, cooking and hiking. These activities have become my secondary goals for my PhD journey.

I did my undergrad at Charles University in Prague, and my master’s at the University of Bonn. I enjoy working with moduli spaces; my master thesis dealt with the Quot scheme of a Brauer-twisted sheaf. The LSGNT has also piqued my interest in derived categories of coherent sheaves, and in arithmetic geometry. Outside of maths, I like music, films, and any form of exercise — most of all snowboarding and windsurfing.
